While I can remember a time when I didn't like Douglas Adams' writings -- that time was before I read one word of his writings. Douglas Adams has held me enthralled from the first chapter and I have read (and, indeed own) everything by him that I can. He is one of those author's that I read at least once a year. His style is, shall we say, perhaps a bit off. But, that is the fun and the wonder and the beauty of his delightful mind and his glorious wit. If you're already familiar with Douglas Adams and his body of work, you likely know exactly what I mean. If you're not familiar with him - let me give you a glimpse. Grab your towel, and remember: Don't Panic.

Herman Wouk has the ability to transport me when I read one of his books. I started with "Don't Stop The Carnival", because of it's island setting. Then I decided to try "Winds Of War" since I enjoyed the first so much. I have never been disappointed. Les Roberts may not be a native born Clevelander, but you'd never know it from the way he writes most of his books. This award winning author has written thirteen novels with the unlikely hero of Milan Jacovich, Private investigator. Milan is Slovenian and is such a regular guy - you're almost sure you've met him in Tower City, or seen him on Euclid Avenue. Welcome to Temptation, Ohio. Yep, I said Temptation, Ohio. The title of one of Jennifer Cruise's books is "Welcome To Temptation" and it is supposed to be in Ohio and it is an absolute joy to read. Funny, cynical, sexy: it kept me going 'til the very end of the book. I would soon discover that this was how I would react to all of Jennifer Crusie's books. Situated on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, Ohio the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame contains remarkable interactive exhibits, films, videos and priceless and poignant artifacts, and serves as host of the permanent Hall of Fame exhibit. In addition the Museum stages a number of temporary exhibits throughout the year, including large-scale exhibits that occupy the top two levels of the building.
